The Valley Health System sponsors residency programs in General Surgery, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry and Transitional Year, and each are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Our residency programs are based out of The Valley Health System’s comprehensive network of acute care hospitals located across Southern Nevada.

Our residency programs are integrated into the core mission of The Valley Health System: to provide our community superior quality care that patients recommend to their family and friends and that physicians prefer for their patients, while offering unique training opportunities to the next generation of healthcare providers.

Our approach is to provide diverse, first-hand clinical training experience coupled with didactics, research opportunities and involvement in hospital operations so we can prepare residents to pursue the next step in their career, be it full-time clinical practice, teaching, research, medical leadership or further subspecialty training. We believe the key to success is to ensure a sound foundation and opportunities to explore all the possibilities medical careers have to offer so our graduates are positioned and prepared for any road they select.

We feel strongly that by creating a learning environment that’s at once challenging and supportive, we can best prepare residents for their future, and we hope you’ll agree.
