Valley Health System, Valley Hospital to Welcome 101 Residents, Fellows in Summer 2026

The Valley Health System and Valley Hospital will welcome a total of 99 physicians and two pharmacists (PharmD) to begin their formal residency and Fellowship training programs on July 1, 2026.
Valley Hospital, which established its graduate medical education (GME) program in July 2006, is welcoming 25 residents and four Fellows to its programs in the areas of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Orthopedic Surgery along with Fellowships in Pulmonary Critical Care and Gastroenterology. Currently, Valley Hospital has a total of 90 residents and Fellows.

The Valley Health System GME Consortium, established in 2019, will welcome 70 new residents to begin their programs in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry and Transitional Year. Currently, VHS GME Consortium has 154 residents.
Both the Valley Hospital and Valley Health System programs are approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Graduates from all medical residencies have established successful Southern Nevada clinical practices, work in outpatient primary care, urgent care and specialty offices throughout Southern Nevada, serve as hospitalists and intensivists in hospital settings or continued their training with a branch of the US Armed Forces. Pharmacy residents have continued on with advanced training or choose to work in health care and retail settings.
