Purpose & Intent

The Valley Health System recognizes the valuable relationship between our facilities and the news media.

We seek to balance this relationship between our ethical and legal responsibilities, as defined by The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), to provide quality care to our patients in an environment which safeguards privacy while preventing embarrassment, discomfort or exploitation and the responsibility of news outlets to report matters of public interest.

The Valley Health System is committed to assisting news outlets whenever possible through sincere cooperation and the accurate and prompt delivery of appropriate, relevant information.

Services & Contacts

The Valley Health System seeks to connect news outlets to expert health care sources and background information in an effort to promote the quality healthcare services available in Southern Nevada.

Media inquiries can be directed to either our hospital-specific Marketing / Public Relations Departments or our Valley Health System regional office during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

After regular hours and on weekends, Marketing/Public Relations representatives are on call, able to be reached by contacting the respective main hospital operator for assistance.
